Haha. They screwed up our seating as well and we ended up walking out as well. Being told we were "next" for an hour got old especially after we called ahead 90 mins before arriving. Very poor service.

We arrived at 6:30 and were told again it would be a 30 min wait. At 7 pm we were told there were 2 groups ahead of us and it would be a 30 min wait. At 7:30 we we found out that the Manager had seated some 'friends' out of order and they seemed to have lost the sequence, and it could be another 30 min wait . At 7:45 as we were about to leave, we were called in.

They have outdoor seating and tables, and waiting would have been much more pleasurable if they could serve drinks out there. And those of us waiting for over an hour after our seating time, should have been offered some sort of compensation.

We were seated in the rear, by the kitchen. The table was high (bar stool height), narrow and difficult to get in and out of. The area would be better served with a bar table and stools.

The Room was VERY cool, in spite, of the crowd, so bring a sweater or sweatshirt. There is a fireplace, it appeared to be gas, but none of the staff knew if it was a 'working' fireplace. If LIT, this will be nice in the cooler weather.

The lighting needs to be worked on.... initially quite bright, then it was turned down so low that you could not see anything including the menu, but after a number of complaints, it was turned up a little more

Our waitress, Tina, was very friendly, knowledgeable and fast. She truly made this feel like a 'Pub' experience.

The beer choices were excellent, too many if you were not knowledgeable about beer. BUT Tina offered to bring 'samples' of any draught beer we wanted to try out. So it may take many, many visits to find out which will become 'our' favorites.

We all had different sandwiches: Steak, Roast Beef, Chicken, and a Hamburger. The rolls and their prep were excellent, cooked to perfection, seasoned just right. Malt Vinegar for the 'Chips' was right on the money. We were surprised that they did not have fresh horseradish for the Roast Beef. The 'chips' were more the American French Fry, but again cooked perfectly.

We did not try a dessert, but the menu was limited to cakes. We would like to see some more traditional fare... some puddin' perhaps ?

Oh, last thing... Prices were reasonable.

All in all..... overlooking the wait, the temperature, and the lighting problems... which should be able to be worked out in time. The atmosphere, our waitress, the food and the drink will make us come back for a second try. This COULD be a very nice addition to Westford.

It is my understanding they stopped doing call-ahead seating, probably for this very reason. The wait is no different than what I have experienced at Outback or Olive Garden at peak times.

The last time we went, we took our kids. They told us it would be 45 minutes to an hour wait, but I was skeptical...

We decided to stick it out.

First, they brought around complimentary potato chips, crayons and color-on kids menus. (Win.)

Second, we were seated in under 30 minutes.

The kid menu was perfectly adequate -- chicken fingers, which is pretty much what they always want, so no complaints there.

My biggest complaint is that the Shepherd's Pie was made with beef, which makes it...not a Shepherd's Pie. It was still tasty, though.

Still and all, three visits, three successes. I would have liked to be able to call ahead, but found the overall outcome favorable.
