What's the least expensive way to insure the extra expensive teenage driver the house?

I found it cheapest to have them have their own (crappy) car and own policy. Adding them to a policy on a car that had fire theft and Collision was far more expensive than just a stand alone compulsory policy. That was a long time ago and things may have changed but I'd be surprised if they changed much at all. Just have the kid do the illegal alien thing, no license, no insurance no registration and if they get caught they just walk away.

Thanks, Paul. He did an online quote with Pregressive and it was $1200 for 6 months, that seemed a bit extreme even for a teenager.
